Wendi Redman was born in Prince Rupert, BC, Canada. She moved to the United States to go to college and then launched right into a decades-long career as a News Anchor and Investigative Reporter for several different affiliates across the nation. During this time, she covered tragedies including reporting live from the Virginia Tech massacre, she covered major weather events including live wall-to-wall coverage of Hurricane Matthew, and she also had some fun assignments such as live anchoring from the Masters Tournament and flying with the USAF Thunderbirds. She even won some awards and was nominated for an Emmy along the way.
After having her two children, she decided to take a break from the anchor desk to raise her girls. During this time, she did what many parents do … she started making up stories for her kids. She never imagined these stories would become a book series but everything kept falling into place to make it happen.
Wendi and her illustrator, Elisabeth Wilder, have been friends for years and are so excited to be working on this passion project together.
Wendi is married to her loving husband James, has two young girls, and an English Bulldog named Tinker Bell.
